Welcome, My name is Robert Dunning and I am a Piano Tuner / Technician, Tuning Piano's all over the Northwest of England.
Tempered Sounds is now in its fifteenth year of business.
I started Tempered Sounds after completing a three year Diploma course at Newark Technical College. After achieving a Diploma in Piano tuning, Maintenance and Repair and a two part City & Guild certificate in Piano tuning and Reconditioning I set myself up in business as a Self employed Piano Tuner/Technician. While the business was building, I worked for the piano department at Forsyth Bros Ltd in Manchester as a Piano Technician/Tuner. Once Tempered Sounds started to grow I left Forsyths to concentrate on developing business even further. I did free-lance work for Dale Pianos in Preston, who were the largest suppliers of second hand and new pianos in the country. I am also the North West Piano Tuner/Technician for Bluthners and Harrods of London. In 2002 I joined the staff of the Oldham Music Centre as there Musical Instrument Technician.
